maccready's cabin is located in the milton outskirts. the previous occupants appear to have been a young couple, as such the interior reflected some more modern sensibilities. in spite of that, the modern aspects are largely lost on him, from his perspective they look strange and out of place, vastly different to the kind of things he's used to at home.

it's not a large cabin by any means, and most of the downstairs is taken up by an open-plan living room, with a small dining and kitchen area to the back. the upstairs is small, featuring a single bedroom with an en suite.

perhaps stranger to him, than the modern tech and overall style, is the fact that most of the furniture is in good condition. it's definitely a far cry from the ruined buildings and worn down furnishings he's more familiar with, and while it's not home, it's a good enough space to hunker down out of the cold.
